| The Lightning Country is home to Kumogakure No Sato(雲隠れの里; Literal meaning "Village Hidden Among the Clouds") Kumogakure is among one of the few great ninja villages remaining, and as such is ruled by a Kage, the Raikage. Ninja of this land are known for their lightening style ninjutsu and kinjutsu capabilities. This land was once a natural barrier against foreign attackers, but when the threat was within it's walls this actually worked against it's own inhabitants and thwarted their escape. The outer smaller villages and many crops have been burned, making much of the outer lands uninhabitable and made the clouds hanging in the mountains thicker. Iwagakure survived the last Great War but has lost confidence in its once powerful Tsuchikage. The people in general are known for being tough and resilient, similar to that of the village namesake. Shinobi value what can best be described as grit, and their jutsu heavily reflect a bruiser style of fighting. The many valleys and rolling mountains make for a tough natural barrier, but the many trailblazers have reduced the value of such majestic walls. The village was devastated, and the people are having trouble finding their footing as rebellions ravage the lands. It is located south-west of the Land of Fire and borders the Land of Rivers and the Land of Rain. The country covers a vast realm, but that realm is largely comprised of deserts and ruins. This land has become very dangerous after it's time serving as a major battlefield; Covered with village-sized hidden sinkholes, savage animals, and plagued with harsh sand storms most hours of the day. Ruins of Sunagakure no Sato | 0 | 0 | | | (火の国, Hi no Kuni) once held arguably the 'Top Dog' of the great ninja villages prior to the war, though this made the lush, prosperous forested land a large target for everyone once the hostility reached maximum tolerance. Much of it's woodlands are reduced to white and grey fields filled with the bone white and black skeletons of trees and charred, crumbled ruins of smaller villages. Konohagakure itself is reduced to a large hole in the ground.
